Our community relies on volunteers that donate their time and experience to assist people in their time of need. The men and women of Marsing Ambulance are proud meet that need. We believe this is OUR community and OUR neighbors we’re caring for. We are called upon to respond to minor events as well as life altering events. It’s a blessing, and humbling, to be invited into someone’s home during a crisis. It’s our honor and privilege to be there for people during their time of need. Because we are volunteers caring for our community, it is not uncommon at all to see multiple people respond to any one event.
Do you think Emergency Medical Services might be your way of giving back to the community??? Contact us and let’s talk about it more.
Drivers and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s)
EMT’s
The Emergency Medical Technician or EMT Basic is the entry level of training for emergency services on an ambulance. Make no mistake, the amount of training received and care that can be provided is not small. Any time our ambulance is responding to a call, there is at least one medical provider on board.
Drivers
While the EMT or medical provider is caring for the patient, the very foundation of EMS involves the patient’s needs to be transported from where they are to the hospital. Our drivers are VERY skilled at assisting the EMT’s and, most importantly, getting us safely from one location to another including during some pretty nasty weather
A pathway of growth
For those who wish to start out as a driver and go onto EMT training, a tuition reimbursement programs exists to help!
Outside the Box
The State of Idaho EMS Bureau recognizes Registered Nurses as an “Ambulance Based Clinician”. This allows an RN to work on an ambulance and provides another way for volunteering in the community.
